Headquartered in Mauritius and anchored in the European
waste-to-energy sector, Enedroc is a hybrid consulting and
services company dedicated to assisting Cement Plants
transitioning their fuel needs away from traditional coal and into
the use of refuse derived fuel (RDF).
In many developing nations, cement manufacturers frequently import coal across vast distances, often overlooking a locally available and potentially superior resource. Usage of RDF not only addresses landfill challenges and fosters local employment but also significantly reduces CO2 emissions.
Equally importantly, from a strategic business perspective, the integration of RDF enhances supply chain resilience, reduces operational costs, and maintains production integrity, not to mention in many cases qualifies plants for various carbon or pollution tax relief.
Using waste-derived fuel products is not new but commonplace in most developing nations. However, with the advent of recent technological advancements, RDF can now be produced with a higher calorific value (equalling or surpassing coal) and uniformity rendering it a truly efficient alternative.

RDF is collected, quality certified and transported under carbon offset arrangements for ultimate incineration (R1 efficiency) within the Cement manufacturing industry. The process saves landfill at origin and replaces fossil fuel burning at destination cement production plants.
Saving landfill space on the one hand, and eliminating fossil fuel incineration on the other is the principal mission of the company. Combining these objectives with providing mass local employment in the waste to fuel process along with local landfill reduction in economically challenged countries is where the company wants to be in Phase 2 of its development.
The company has numerous investors from the EU and the African Continent and intends to incrementally increase its local RDF production and extend its geographical coverage to other developing countries in the medium term.
